DISTINCTIONS:Opposite, compound leaves; scaly rough bark with age; tolerates wet soil.
LIMITATIONS:Produces seeds, which may give a messy appearance; late leafing out.
HARDINESS: SC, SE (Zone 2)
ORIGIN: Manitoba to Newfoundland, south to Virginia, Delaware, and Iowa
CULTIVARS:‘Fallgold’ has upright habit; seedless; golden fall leaf color; holds leaves longer in fall than species.
