DISTINCTIONS:DISTINCTIONS: Green leaves with white margins, turn red purple in autumn; excellent for ornamental plantings; creates a bright spot, especialy in shade or with darker colored plants; vivid red bark is especially colorful in the winter landscape; flowers are small clusters of creamy white followed by white or light blue fruits; tolerates sun or full shade, wet or dry soils.
LIMITATIONS:Prune old stems to keep plant vigorous and for best red twig color; has not been successful in Fairbanks.
HARDINESS: SC, SE (Zone 2)
ORIGIN: Northern Korea and Siberia to Manchuria
