DISTINCTIONS:One of the hardiest spruces; easy to grow; some trees have attractive bluish bloom on needles. See entry under Evergreen Trees.
LIMITATIONS:
HARDINESS: INT, SC, SE, W (Zone 2)
ORIGIN: Labrador to Alaska (interior, south central, and western), south to Montana, Wyoming, Arkansas, Minnesota, and New York.
CULTIVARS:‘Conica’ Dwarf Alberta Spruce (See separate entry).; ‘Echiniformis’ Tiny, cushion shaped; bluish needles; 1' tall.; ‘Little Globe’ Globose; grows 2"-3" per year; 2' tall and wide.
