HEIGHT: | 4 - 5 feet | SPREAD: | 8 - 10 feet | DISTINCTIONS: | Short, thick needles, medium to dark green; spreading, mounded form; prune upright branches to maintain prostrate habit. Acidic, moist, well-drained soils; shade tolerant but grows best in full sun; purplish cones at maturity; does better in dry conditions than Abies balsamea.
