DISTINCTIONS:Species is a large tree 40’-60’ but dwarf cultivars, of which there are many, are most often used in the landscape.
LIMITATIONS:Susceptible to winter burn and spider mites.
HARDINESS:SE (Zone 5)
ORIGIN:Southwest Oregon and parts of northwest California.
CULTIVARS:‘Nidiformis’ Prostrate or semi-prostrate with somewhat arching branches; fern-like foliage droops gracefully at the tips; grows 2'-3' tall with a spread of 3'-4'.
