DISTINCTIONS:Upright shrub; early very fragrant, golden-yellow flowers; scarlet berries in mid-summer; one of the hardiest daphnes; full sun to partial shade; prefers cool well drained soils.
LIMITATIONS:Needs acid soil; all plant parts poisonous; difficult to transplant; can be short-lived plant due to virus; does not tolerate wet soils.
HARDINESS:SC, SE (Zone 4)
ORIGIN:Northwest China
