DISTINCTIONS:Oval tree with green bark with white vertical fissures that create contrast; green lobed leaves turn dull yellow in autumn; prefers cool moist, acidic soils; full sun to partial shade.
LIMITATIONS:Difficult to transplant, prefers naturalized environments.
HARDINESS:SE (Zone 3)
ORIGIN:Quebec to Wisconsin.
