DISTINCTIONS:Irregular, picturesque habit; nice as a specimen; can be multi-stemmed; flowers showy for a maple; medium sized leaves with 7-9 lobes; fruit a red, winged samara; shade tolerant; yellow-orange to red fall leaf color.
LIMITATIONS:More often shrubby than tree-like.
HARDINESS:SE (Zone 5)
ORIGIN:Pacific Northwest from British Columbia to northern California
CULTIVARS:‘Monroe’ deeply cut leaves
