HEIGHT:50 - 60 feet
SPREAD:20 - 25 feet
DISTINCTIONS:Graceful, narrow pyramidal shape; slender trunk and short ascending or drooping branches; dark green needles.
LIMITATIONS:Likes moist, well-drained soils, but does best in climates that are not humid or wet. Few planted in Alaska.
HARDINESS:SC, SE (Zone 4-6)
ORIGIN:Southeastern Europe.
CULTIVARS:‘Pendula’ Slender, weeping tree with slightly twisted branches;30' high by 15" wide; 2" purple cones; stake when young to develop a leader; See entry under Evergreen Shrubs.
