HEIGHT:1 - 2 feet
SPREAD:3 - 12 feet
DISTINCTIONS:Plant spreads outward like a juniper and has bright green arborvitae-like foliage; over-wintered many years at the Alaska Botanical Garden in Anchorage in a hypertufa trough.
LIMITATIONS:Requires well-drained moist soil and partial to full sun; foliage turns brownish in winter.
HARDINESS:INT, SC (Zone 2-3)
ORIGIN:Southeastern Siberia above tree line.
CULTIVARS:A few are available.
