SPREAD:20 - 30 feet
DISTINCTIONS:Upright, vase-shaped habit; dark green leaves are pointy and serrated; adaptable plant tolerates both dry and wet conditions; not particular as to soil type or pH; able to handle environmental salt and is tolerant of urban pollution.
LIMITATIONS:Susceptible to Dutch elm disease although DED is not present in Alaska; some new cultivars are resistant to DED; plant in full sunlight.
HARDINESS: SC, SE, (Zone 2-3)
