HEIGHT:10 - 15 feet
SPREAD:3 - 5 feet
DISTINCTIONS:Looks like a fat steel-blue cigar.
LIMITATIONS:May be slow to get established; susceptible to spider mites; needles sharp to the touch; pesticides and anti-transpirants dissolve bluish color on needles; needles on newly planted trees turn purplish brown when dry and under stress. Does not do well near busy roadways or in southeast Alaska; often dies to snowline in the interior.
HARDINESS: SC (Zone 2-3)
ORIGIN: Rocky Mountains, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Wyoming
