DISTINCTIONS:Needles in clusters of 5, bluish-green; adapted to a wide range of soil types but prefers acidic, well-drained soil, pH 4.5–6.5.
LIMITATIONS:Does not tolerate air pollution, heat, or salt toxicity. May be damaged by moose or deer browse.
HARDINESS: INT, SC, SE (Zone 3)
ORIGIN: Eastern Canada and United States.
CULTIVARS:‘Nana’ ('Radiata’) Broad dense shrub; 4" needles; wider than high, 3'-4' tall, 4'-5' wide.; See entry under Evergreen Tree.
