DISTINCTIONS:Tree form has graceful, narrow pyramidal shape; dark green needles.
LIMITATIONS:Likes moist, well-drained soils, but does best in climates that are not humid or wet. Few planted in Alaska.
HARDINESS:SC, SE (Zone 4-6)
ORIGIN:Southeastern Europe
CULTIVARS:‘Expansa’ Low spreading form with ascending branches, 1-3' tall, spreads along ground several feet; needles are bluish-green on top and silvery underneath; may revert and develop a normal leader.; ‘Nana’ Dense globe when young, broad pyramidal shape with maturity; 3'-8' tall, 3'-6' wide; needled green on top and blue underneath.
