SPREAD:2 - 3 feet
DISTINCTIONS:Grayish-green needles with pale midrib; crisp, stiff branches; branches gray, covered with soft reddish down; young cones purple, up to 4" long and may be retained several years;
LIMITATIONS:Protect from winter winds.
HARDINESS: SC, SE (Zone 3)
ORIGIN: Southeast Alaska to Oregon, Utah and New Mexico.
CULTIVARS:‘Compacta’ Conical dwarf; silver-blue needles; 6' tall, 3' wide or larger.
