DISTINCTIONS:Small tree or large shrub; reddish stems; leaves are green above and pale on the bottom; leaves shallowly three-lobed; fruit a winged samara, tinged red; partial shade; drought tolerant; yellow fall color.
LIMITATIONS:Often more shrubby than tree-like; spreads by seeds.
HARDINESS: SC, SE (Zone 3 (4))
ORIGIN: Southeast Alaska, British Columbia, Alberta, northwest Wyoming, California and Nevada
