SPREAD:3 - 4 feet
DISTINCTIONS:Good groundcover for dry, well-drained soils; 3" to 4" high; smooth, leathery dark green leaves, paler below; pinkish-white urn-shaped flowers; fruit is dull reddish orange, mealy and tasteless; sun.
LIMITATIONS:Difficult to transplant from the wild, best to use container-grown nursery plants.
HARDINESS:INT, SC, SE (Zone 2)
ORIGIN:Much of Alaska (interior, south central, southeast) and the United States to Newfoundland and south.
