HEIGHT:8 - 12 feet
SPREAD:6 - 10 feet
DISTINCTIONS:Upright to arching habit; fragrant flowers may be lilac, white, pink, or purple; late to flower; sun; pH 6.0-7.5; resistant to powdery mildew.
LIMITATIONS:Susceptible to lilac leaf miner in SE; suckering habit; no fall color.
HARDINESS:INT, SC, SE (Zone 3)
ORIGIN:Hybrids.
CULTIVARS:Also called Preston lilacs as they are in same lineage. 'Royalty' is a hardy lilac with showy purple pyramidal flower clusters; grows in Georgeson Botanical Garden in Fairbanks.
