DISTINCTIONS:Arching branches; small pinkish flowers in the spring and large white berries in the fall; tolerant of most soils including heavy clay and dry conditions; sun or shade.
LIMITATIONS:Suckers profusely.
HARDINESS:SC, SE (Zone 3-4)
ORIGIN:Alaska near Haines and Juneau; Nova Scotia to Alberta, south to Minnesota and Virginia
CULTIVARS:var. laevigatus taller, to 6'; larger fruit than the species.; ‘White Hedge’ upright form; blue-green foliage; white berries.
