DISTINCTIONS:Rounded, dense form; finely branched; good for wet soils and to stabilize banks along streams.
LIMITATIONS:Need rejuvenation pruning to keep good form.
HARDINESS:SC, SE, (Zone 3)
ORIGIN:Europe, central Asia, northern Africa, and Japan
CULTIVARS:‘Nana’ dwarf blue leaf Arctic willow; compact rounded form 5' or less in height; silver-gray leaves. nice low, clipped hedge; ‘Streamco’ introduced by the Natural Resources Conservation Service to stabilize stream banks.
