DISTINCTIONS:Lobed leaves with contrasting green surface and white underside.
LIMITATIONS:Some plants produce suckers from the roots; weak wood may break in strong winds or with snow and ice loads.
HARDINESS:SE (Zone 3)
ORIGIN:Central Asia and southern Europe to western Siberia
CULTIVARS:‘Nivea’ underside of leaves very white.; ‘Pyramidalis’ Bolleana poplar; columnar habit; a better choice than Lombardy poplar.
