DISTINCTIONS:Soft green needles; golden fall color; needles are shed in fall; round cones; conical habit when young; canopy becomes irregularly shaped with age; delicate texture; fast growing.
LIMITATIONS:Plant in full sun; requires moist soil.
HARDINESS:SE, SC (Zone 2)
ORIGIN:Mountains of central Europe and northward
CULTIVARS:‘Pendula’ graceful, weeping branches.
