DISTINCTIONS:Excellent landscape evergreen; tolerates cold, exposed sites; dense, mounding or sprawling habit; 5 needles per bundle, 1.5" to 3" long.
LIMITATIONS:Limited local availability.
HARDINESS:SC, SE (Zone 3-4)
ORIGIN:High mountain tops in Japan, northeast China, northern Korea.
CULTIVARS:‘Glauca’ (‘Dwarf Blue’) Low spreading dwarf shrub; bluish needles.
